Happy Halloween!

WW: The Halloween Party of the Year!

If you are looking for last minute costume ideas, look no further! We went to an AMAZING Halloween party this weekend, and the costumes were all so fabulous!
The party was hosted by some friends from church, Jim & Susan, and they go ALL out! Every room is decorated, pictures, tables, even the walls! It's truly out of this world! Every room has a theme and it's done well. If you couldn't tell, they went as Frankenstein & his Bride!
We weren't originally sure if we were going to be able to go to the party, but babysitting came through at last minute (thanks to my wonderful parents) and so we had a date night...We went as an UPPER & LOWER G.I.! :)
A unicorn, a loofah, and a over the top Jersey house wife
 Martha Vader
She's a car wash!
The brain dead, blind referee, and football player from a game a few weeks ago. ;)

Here are some of the crazy decorations:

 Frankenstein Lab!
The Wizard of Oz gone scary!

The winners of the night:

3RD. The host herself, the Bride of Frankenstein

2ND. "Cereal" Killer

1ST. Bobby Knight (Can you tell we were in a house of Hoosiers! hehe)

Ah, despite our awesome costumes, we were no match against these three! We had a great time and can't wait until next year. We are already planning on our costumes, and the one we have in mind is sure to win. ;) Do you dress up? If so, what are you going as?

Pumpkin Farm

October is one of my favorite months, it is also one of our busiest now that we have kids. But no matter how busy we get, a trip to the pumpkin farm is always on our list! This year we were able to make a couple small trips to our favorite farm.
They were quite the photogenic goats!
He wasn't going to let anyone take that bell away from him ;)

Autumn Roses

Autumn roses are one of my favorite things. Just when everything starts to die, a beautiful rose bud opens up to reveal new life. I took this picture from my parent's neighborhood after an afternoon walk.

We Came, We Saw, We Grabbed the Candy!

Maybe it's the Italian blood in us, or the fact that parades bring smiles to our boys' faces, but every year we head to this god-awful Italian Fest parade knowing that it only brings disappointment. Although, the parade itself is nothing to write home about, the sweet moments with friends made the experience worth it.
It's as if he's thinking, "where's my candy?"
